Van Dieman's Underwater - Sea Urchin Fountain Pen Ink

This one-of-a-kind Fountain Pen Ink, Van Dieman's Sea Urchin, boasts a dark magenta colour, appearing as black in light applications but with an eye-catching green shimmer that can be seen on various paper and materials. This is achieved through the intense combination of two different Indian dyes.

Known as Sea Urchin, this 30ml bottle of High Saturation Dye Based Ink offers a quirky alternative to traditional black ink and is ideal for use with dip pens, brushwork, and all fountain pens.

As part of Van Dieman's Underwater series, the 7th collection from Van Dieman's Ink, Sea Urchin takes inspiration from the ocean's flora, fauna, regions, and mystery to deliver 16 of the brand's most unique and innovative inks to date.

The ink dries in 80 seconds when used with a medium nib on Rhodia paper and has a slightly dry flow.

Please note that our experience reveals less green and more dark magenta to purple - almost black. The green is less obvious and only comes through as a sheen occasionally around the edges and when laying down large areas with ink.
